This full- and part-time bookkeeping certificate program is designed to train persons working in or for small and home-based businesses. The training will enable them to organize and summarize the books of these companies using the current business-standard computers and software.
The certificate must be completed in three years. Offered in several sections
throughout the year, the modular program design enables students to take courses
at varying times and during flexible hours.
Recommended that students entering this program have the following:
Ability to use the internet and email
Experience and skills using MS Office applications (e.g. Word and Excel)
Basic proficiency in written and verbal English skills
The Bookkeeping for Small Business certificate can be completed in 12 weeks full time or over 1 to 3
years if part time. Courses are delivered face-to-face, online, and hybrid.
Location
Courses are offered in Abbotsford at the Clearbrook Centre campus or in Chilliwack at the Canada
Education Park campus.

Students may choose to register in an optional practicum experience, BSB PRACT (Bookkeeping for Small Business Practicum). This course is not a condition of graduation.
Continuance
Students must achieve a minimum B grade in each course to
progress to the next course. Students who do not achieve a minimum B grade in a course may repeat the course.

Graduation requirements
All courses must be successfully completed with a grade B or higher. In addition, students must have completed courses within three years of program start.

Residency
At least 50% of the program must be completed at 51ÎÛÂþ.
Maximum length of time to complete program
Students are allowed up to three consecutive years to complete program requirements.
