FSR Electrical Code

Cost: $639
Prerequisite: Red Seal Electrician designation, or Electrical engineer

Thoroughly explore the main sections of the 2024 Canadian Electrical Code, along with Technical Safety BC bulletins and directives and the associated provincial electrical safety laws in this course.

This course is recognized by Technical Safety BC and satisfies the training requirement for new applicants for FSR certification for all levels (FSR Class A, B, or C).

Purchase the following books for the first day of class: 

  • Electrical Code Book (available from the 51 Bookstore) 
  • You will receive links in your course for all other necessary materials like the Safety Standards Act, Safety Standards General Regulation, and Electrical Safety Regulation as well as the TSBC bulletins and directives. You can choose to either access these digitally or have them printed through Crown publications.

Delivery method: Online with scheduled meeting times

Note: The first online session is your course orientation. Attendance to this session from 8:00 - 9:00 pm is mandatory.


Subsequent weekly optional online drop-in session takes place on Monday nights from 8:00 to 9:00 pm.

Each week consists of approximately 5 hours of online content that can be accessed and completed at anytime throughout the week, as well as a weekly drop-in session for questions and clarifications.
