Advising options for current 51污漫 students

Bookable in advance. Up to 60 minutes.

Academic Advising appointments

This is for:

  • Newly admitted or currently enrolled 51污漫 students.
  • Domestic and international students

How to book:

  1.  using your student email and password.
  2. Look for your Assigned Advisor card.
  3. Click or tap your advisor's appointment buttons
  4. Select your date and timeslot.
  • If you don't see available appointments, go back to your Assigned Advisor card in my51污漫. Use the 鈻讹笍 function to check for alternate advisor(s).

Same-day Advising

This is for:

  • Current students who need timely advising support.

How to book:

  • Check for your program below to see which days your advisor is available.
  • If your advisor is not available, you can book with an alternative advisor that advises for the same area.
  • Use your Assigned Advisor card in to book (timeslots open up at 8:30 am)

Note: You do not need to make an appointment if you would like to:

  • Receive an updated program plan
  • Request a pay-per-credit
  • Declare a major or minor
  • Confirm your graduation completion

School of Criminology and Criminal Justice

  • you have already completed a four year degree and wish to apply to the BEd program

  • you are admitted or conditionally admitted to the Early Childhood Education programs
  • you are a current or returning 51污漫 student considering applying to the Early Childhood Education programs

Your safety is extremely important to us which means that we will not conduct appointments with you when you are in a moving vehicle.

Why meet with an academic advisor?

Academic advisors can help you:

  • explore majors and program options
  • figure out what courses to take and build your course schedule
  • make or update a program plan
  • discuss graduation requirements
  • make the right decisions to reach your educational goals

 

Meet with your advisor

at least once every year or 30 academic credits.

Advisor availability

You can meet with an academic advisor Monday - Friday.

Appointments can be:

in-person (Abbotsford or Chilliwack campus), virtual, or by phone call.

To make the most of your advising appointment, review your program requirements, think about the questions you'd like to ask, and bring any relevant information or documents. Learn what to expect and how to prepare on the Prepare for your appointment page.

Write down your questions as you work through these resources and bring them to your advising appointment. If you don't understand something, ask for clarifications.

51污漫 students are assigned an Academic Advisor or advising team. In most cases, you can find your assigned advisor by logging into and reviewing your assigned Advisor card.

Your assigned Advisor card will show:

  • your advisor’s name
  • appointment availability
  • alternate advisors if your assigned advisor is unavailable
