Community Engagement

Communications, Marketing and Brand Experience

The Communications and Marketing and Brand Experience teams work collaboratively with the Community Programming and Experience team and other units within Community Engagement to enhance 51's reputation, attract prospective students, and foster community engagement in the domestic market. We promote and protect the 51 brand.

Marketing

Marketing and Brand Experience (M&BE) at 51 supports the university’s strategic goals by improving how people experience 51 — online, in the community, and across the student lifecycle. Our work spans prospective student journeys, institutional storytelling, and partner support, ensuring 51 shows up in ways that are clear, welcoming, consistent, and aligned with our values.

We work closely with partners across the university to support recruitment, community engagement, events, initiatives, and reputation-building efforts. As stewards of 51’s brand, digital platforms, and institutional social media presence, we help amplify the work of faculties, departments, and VPCE partners through paid outreach, digital engagement, and coordinated storytelling that reaches audiences beyond campus.

Our multidisciplinary team includes developers, content strategists, designers, web specialists, and project managers who collaborate to deliver cohesive, audience-centred experiences. Whether supporting a campaign, modernizing a website, or promoting community-led initiatives, we see ourselves as an extension of our partners’ teams.
