These OEMGP projects were funded by 51污漫’s Office of the Provost and Vice President, Academic through the Strategic Initiatives Fund (2023-2024). One project was funded per faculty area. This program was administered through a collaboration between the 51污漫 Library and the Teaching and Learning Centre.

Project description
Reviewed and updated the currently developed checklist for reviewing OER content. This was then used in the re-review of all chapters in the open textbook Human Nutrition. Textbook was updated for accessibility using Google Lighthouse. Developed a new chapter called “Health at Every Weight”, which considered equity in relation to body size. And more Indigenous content was integrated.

Project description
Combining and developing open educational resources that enhance student access, experience, and outcome to transition the 4-credit online course, Biology 105: Human Biology, to open educational resources (OERs). We aim to replace the traditional textbook with OER sources (text, videos, visual aids). An openly licensed resource list was created.

Project description
Openly licensed compilation of development related case studies into one resource with at least one Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) has been highlighted in each case study, as well as associated discussion questions. These questions can be used by students to study for their GDS courses and faculty can use these questions to facilitate discussion on development related topics.

A scan and documentation of the existing open resources was completed. It includes a summary of available narratives, case studies, interactive activities, and other tools for instructors/professionals to use in teaching and learning. In total, 74 relevant resources are available.
