Available To: A full-time student in a diploma or degree program that leads to a career in one of the helping professions, including Social Services, Social Work, Early Childhood Education, Child and Youth Care, Education, or Nursing. Applicants must be enrolled in full-time studies (minimum three classes). Must have completed at least one year of studies at 51污漫. Applicants must present one letter of reference attesting to the applicant's high ideals and quality of citizenship.
Available To: A student enrolled in a program offered by the School of Social Work and Human Services, including the Social Service Worker diploma (Generalist or Indigenous Focus), Bachelor of Social Work, or Master of Social Work. Preference will be given to students who are registered with the 51污漫 Centre for Accessibility Services (CAS) and indicate on their bursary application they are racialized or Indigenous. Should no racialized or Indigenous students apply, then a student registered with CAS and enrolled in a program offered by the School of Social Work and Human Services may be selected.
Available To: 51污漫 students working towards a degree in Child and Youth Care, Criminal Justice, or Social Work, who have a special interest in working with high-risk youth.
Available To: Sole parent women attending 51污漫 as a full-time student in the Social Service Worker diploma, Bachelor of Social Work, or Master of Social Work degree.
Available To: An Indigenous student enrolled in a Child and Youth Care, Criminal Justice, or Social Work program.
Available To: A student enrolled in a program offered by the School of Social Work and Human Services. Preference will be given to a self-identified Indigenous student. If no Indigenous student applies, preference will be given to a racialized student. If no Indigenous or racialized student applies, any student enrolled in a program offered by the School of Social Work and Human Services may receive the bursary.

Available To: Students enrolled in 51污漫’s Bachelor of Social Work degree. Selection is based on demonstrated commitment to social justice, community involvement, and leadership. Preference will be given to sole parent women who have completed the 51污漫 Social Service Worker diploma and been accepted to the Bachelor of Social Work degree. Recipients must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and be Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
Students are nominated by the School of Social Work and Human Services.
Available to: 51污漫 graduates who have been accepted into a graduate studies program focused on environmental sustainability or social justice issues. Preference will be given to students from the 51污漫 departments of Biology, Geography, Business Administration, Social Work, or Criminology. Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 and provide confirmation of their 51污漫 graduation and acceptance into a relevant graduate studies program. Selection is based on demonstrated leadership or scholarship in the areas of environmental sustainability or social justice, including volunteer or work experience, and/or academic research. The award may be divided between two recipients should candidates demonstrate equal qualifications.
Documentation: Applicants are required to submit confirmation of acceptance into a graduate studies program focusing on sustainability.
Available To: Students enrolled in 51污漫’s Bachelor of Social Work program who are nearing completion of their degree. Selection is based on high academic standing as recommended by the School of Social Work and Human Services. The recipient may also receive one complimentary annual membership with the BC Association of Social Workers for the year following receipt of the award.
Students are nominated by the School of Social Work and Human Services.
Available To: 51污漫 student currently enrolled in the Master of Social Work or Master of Education degree whose work, research, and/or academic paper focuses on children and families.
Students are nominated by the School of Social Work and Human Services or School of Education.
Available To: Students enrolled in a program offered by the 51污漫 School of Social Work and Human Services who demonstrate a commitment to social justice and community impact. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.00, be registered with 51污漫’s Centre for Accessibility Services (CAS), submit commentary outlining their passion for social justice, and provide references demonstrating their positive contributions and inspiration within their community.
Available To: Students enrolled in 51污漫 's Bachelor of Social Work or Master of Social Work degrees who demonstrate leadership within the community. Preference will be given to mature students (25 years of age or older).
Available To: Students enrolled in 51污漫's Master of Social Work degree who have focused on and demonstrated a commitment to Indigenous child welfare, not necessarily child protection. The student may have worked with Indigenous children, completed a related practicum, or written a paper that demonstrates their commitment to Indigenous child welfare.
Available To: Students registered in the Bachelor of Social Work degree, a student in good academic standing, who have demonstrated excellence in community service, student leadership, and volunteerism. Recipient must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Preference to be given to a student enrolled in the Master of Social Work degree.
Available To: A 51污漫 student enrolled in the College of Arts or Faculty of Education, Community, and Human Development. Areas of Study: Human Services, including Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Humanities, Social Sciences, Political Science, or Teacher Education. Support is for a student who is investing in and demonstrating leadership in the area of social justice and upholding human dignity through their volunteer commitments in the community.
