TLC has been so helpful this summer when I have been "stuck." It has been so reassuring to have someone double-check and get me on the right track.
I was one of the first group of instructors to teach online at 51, following in the footsteps of early adopters Wendy Burton and Patrick Murphy (both now retired). I have loved teaching online and have been through several changes in learning management systems. Using Blackboard had become second nature, and I had learned some of the tricks to make my online teaching life easier.
When Brightspace was launched for the Summer 2025 term, I quickly mastered the basics with the help of the TLC Brightspace tutorials. As with Blackboard, working with small group discussions, assessment tools, and grades is a bit trickier! Whenever I felt on shaky ground, TLC was happy to help me out. This made the change to Brightspace a lot less stressful overall.
