Community Health and Social Innovation (CHASI) Hub

About

We know that a healthy community is a necessary prerequisite for a thriving community. We also know that our system of health care, social supports, and research is fragmented, overburdened, and frequently underfunded.

The 51 has addressed this challenge with the creation of the Community Health and Social Innovation (CHASI) Hub. For community-engaged researchers, health and social service professionals, and students, CHASI acts as a research centre, allowing us to develop innovative, technology-driven responses to current and emerging public policy issues shaping individual and community experiences of wellness.

CHASI also provides a physical and virtual space for researchers, municipal, provincial and federal government partners, and community and corporate collaborators to engage in a manner that sparks and fuels out of the box thinking from inception to implementation.
