Community Health and Social Innovation (CHASI) Hub

2026 Summer Camp

Do you know a Grade 11 or 12 student who wants to learn more about social sciences and research?

CHASI runs a free summer camp for young learners eager to engage in community research. The theme in 2026 was Community Health and Social Innovation (CHASI) Hub's Social Sciences and the Art of Changemaking.

The camp took place August 4th to 7th, 2026 at 51’s Abbotsford Campus. It was an opportunity for high school students to learn more about the social sciences and explore community issues they are interested in. Students engaged in research activities and met with community leaders to discuss how research can play a role in solving social problems.

The 2026 camp was made possible by support from the the and from private donors.

We look forward to the camp returning in 2027 — if you or a family member are interested in attending, or would like to collaborate in continuing the camp, please contact chasi@ufv.ca.

CHASI Hub is proud to be 51’s Changemaking Hub — a role that sees us spearheading a university-wide effort to address contemporary challenges and shape a more equitable future for our students, employees, and communities.
