Biography

Imran graduated from 51 with a bachelor of arts in psychology honours. She completed her honours thesis examining the effects of screen time on adolescents’ and young adults’ social experiences. She has presented her research at conferences such as NOWCAM and 51’s Student Research Day. Her research interests include evaluating how intergenerational discrepancies impact adolescent development, focusing on how the endorsement of romantic/sexual identity impacts attachment. Imran is now obtaining her Master’s in Social Psychology from the University of Victoria. She wishes to become a psychology professor and continue her research.
Imran began working as a research assistant at CHASI in the Summer of 2022. She has enjoyed applying her studies to practice. Moreover, she loves being a part of a fantastic team that promotes personal growth and positive change within the community.
In her personal life, Imran enjoys hiking, snowboarding, going to the gym, or relaxing by reading, sketching, and watching anime.
