Academics from universities across British Columbia have engaged with SASI in scholarly research exploring a range of topics, including history, legacy, land inequity, labour, and the politics of knowledge. This closing lecture series highlights how collaboration with academic institutions and scholars has enabled SASI to advance, grow, and build knowledge collectively while educating and inspiring future generations.
For the final lecture of the anniversary celebrations, SASI alumni will share their experiences, reflecting on how their time at the institute has contributed to their personal growth and influenced their future careers.
These lectures will also highlight the importance of researching and uncovering often unreported or overlooked issues within the South Asian Canadian diaspora, while offering insight into the topics and areas of research that SASI may explore in the future.
